A cinematic iPhone-style product launch film for the SOVDA Precision Fill Mini 2 — a benchtop coffee bag filling machine for specialty roasters.
Overview
SOVDA builds precision coffee packaging equipment for specialty roasters — clean industrial design with a focus on accuracy and throughput. For the launch of their Precision Fill Mini 2, they needed a cinematic product film that matched the premium positioning of the machine: something closer to an Apple product reveal than a standard equipment walkthrough.
The 3D model was provided by the SOVDA team. My scope covered materials, lighting, animation, and a few targeted geometry cleanups to get the model render-ready. The brief was to treat the machine like a hero object — tight cinematic camera moves, dramatic studio lighting, and a pace that lets the details speak.
The machine had to feel like a premium product, not a piece of equipment. Every shot was framed to reveal something new about how it’s built.
Shot Breakdown
Each shot in the breakdown reel shows three passes side by side — flat shading, final render, and clay — giving a clear view of the material and lighting work across each camera angle. The machine was shot from every angle: low worm’s-eye looking up at the SOVDA branding, top-down into the hopper, close-up on the internal mechanism, and full front elevation revealing the complete profile.
